Jeffrey Chin is 14 years old from Aurora, Colorado. His teachers are Jasmine Steadman and Larry Graham. He started piano lessons at age 8 and has won 15 piano competition awards in the past six years. At age 11, he won the Steinway Concerto Competition, Middle School Division, and was invited to perform the first movement of Mozart’s Concerto No. 20 in D minor with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. The Young Musicians Foundation of Colorado named him Top Junior Performer in 2014. Jeffrey performed the first movement of Prokofiev’s Concerto No. 3 in C Major with the Breckenridge Symphony Orchestra at age 14. He won the 2015 Colorado State MTNA Competition in Junior Piano Performance and advanced to win the West Central Division MTNA Competition in 2016. He attended the Aspen Music Festival and School in summer 2015. He has been admitted to the Juilliard School of Music, Pre-College Division, to study with Hung-Kuan Chen in Fall 2016.
